Compare Irish Casinos is an information and comparison site for adults in the Republic of Ireland. We do not provide gambling services. If you choose to gamble, set clear boundaries before you begin and stop when those boundaries are reached.
Set safe play limits
- Deposit limit: decide the maximum amount you can afford to lose and never use money needed for rent, bills, food, savings or debt repayments.
- Loss limit: set a firm cap for each day, week or month. Never increase it to chase losses.
- Time limit: choose an end time, use reminders and take regular breaks away from the screen.
- Access controls: use cooling-off periods, time-outs, self-exclusion and payment blocks whenever you need distance from gambling.
Keep a record of time and money spent. Do not gamble when distressed, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or when gambling could interfere with work, relationships or health.
Warning signs
Warning signs include hiding gambling, borrowing money to gamble, chasing losses, missing responsibilities, or feeling anxious when trying to stop. If any of these apply, pause gambling and speak to a support service.
